Wedding Flowers - Trends for 2015

Yay, let’s talk wedding flowers! In this post I will draw up the very best of the 2015 wedding flower trends. Patterns have definitely emerged including colors, styles, varieties and positioning.

Trend #1: The ‘just-picked-from-the-garden’ look. Rustic, rural and romantic with soft colors and a kind of classical old English feeling to it. Think a nice versatile mix of wedding flowers such as peonies, sweet peas, garden roses and tulips.

Trend #2: Respect the season. If you have an autumn wedding then why not go for proper autumn wedding flowers and greens? You could even use moss, oak leaves and ferns for your centerpieces to really follow through that autumny look and feel. Seasonal blooms are a definite trend for 2015 wedding flowers!

Trend #3: Wedding Flower Crowns. Becoming more and more popular in 2015 are the actual wedding flower crowns for the bride to wear. Of course it depends a bit on the overall wedding theme, but the crown can be made from all kinds of wedding flowers. From delicate and pretty to much fuller blooms for a real eye-catching effect.

Trend #4: Hanging Wedding Flowers. Looking up at a centerpiece is totally the way to go in 2015. Also flowers in small bottles hanging from trees at an outside rural wedding or flowers hanging from a classy flower chandelier will give your space an ethereal feel.

Trend #5: Richer Colors. Whilst pastel and blushy wedding flower colors such as soft orange, peach and coral are still front runners in 2015, it’s also totally fine to go for more complex and deeper colors, especially for the wedding bouquet. Think raspberry, merlot and – the Pantone color of 2015 – Marsala.
