Wedding Music with a Spanish Touch – Wedding Stories
Wedding Music
Music is definitely an important feature of your wedding. You might feel that with so many other things to consider you really don’t have much input as far as the wedding music is concerned. Except that you just want it to be good and fit in with the style of your ceremony. It’s already hard as it is, let alone if you would like to mix in some authentic Spanish wedding music.
You could of course leave it entirely up to the professionals. Key factor in that case is communication and to inform them what you need way ahead of time so that they don’t need much direction during the wedding day. Important to keep in mind is that wedding music should fit in with the wedding location and wedding style. This way you will create the perfect atmosphere with the right festive wedding feeling.
Of course there is no such thing as choosing the wrong wedding music, because you should always go with what you like. It should be meaningful and a statement to what you are and what you mean to each other. This is what the wedding music on a wedding day could look like:
- The beginning of the wedding ceremony when your wedding guests arrive would go well with some classical Spanish guitar music.
- The music when the bride walks down the isle – since this is the highlight of the day – should be quite distinctive wedding music. Either traditional, such as The Wedding March or even an unexpected pop song or romantic Spanish ballad.
- When leaving the wedding ceremony area the music should be festive! Something to cheer up all the single ladies that would love to change places with you and got too emotional during the ceremony 🙂
- For the aperitif, the mood should be changed to perky, up-beat music such as Flamenco, Bossa Nova or maybe some good Jazz.
- The wedding dinner music should only be a background, something more mellow and classical that does not interrupt with all the conversations going on by each table.
- Finally, to dance your night away I would recommend a band or a professional DJ. Good wedding music is very important if you want your guests to have fun. Some rock & roll music always works (70’s, 80’s). It’s something that we all like and enjoy, no matter the age.
