Beach Wedding: Part I – Wedding Stories tips

Beach Wedding
beach wedding - Wedding Stories 4

Let’s start this post with something obvious yet very crucial while planning a beach wedding. Please inform your wedding guests that the wedding ceremony is taking place on the actual beach. Super important, because this way they can dress accordingly in light fabrics, such as silk and chiffon. You do not want your wedding guests to make the mistake of thinking it’s only a summer / beach themed wedding party. Stress the fact that lots of sand will definitely be directly involved. You can communicate this with your wedding party , through a wedding website or the good old word-of mouth method.

A nice little touch for a beach wedding could be to provide your wedding guests with a wedding favor at the start of the wedding ceremony and offer them a ‘shoe valet’. Here they can exchange their shoes / high heels for comfortable flip-flops which you can have personalized for example with your name and wedding date. Another beach wedding related favor could be a pair of sunglasses so that your wedding guests will not be squinting their eyes all day. Or instead of spending your wedding budget on such favors, inform your wedding guests to bring their own pair of sunglasses, hats or visors. Gazing into the sun is not very comfortable.

To keep your wedding guests hydrated is always important, however you can imagine that on a beach wedding this is even more so the case. Make sure that you have enough (personalized!) bottles of water and refreshing drinks available. Personalized paper fans could also be a handy little touch for your guests to stay cool.

Even though summer nights in Spain stay comfortably warm, for a beach wedding you might want to consider having some blankets available for your wedding guests in case they start to feel a little chilly. I’m sure you wouldn’t want your sweet grandmother or auntie to suffer goose bumps after sunset!
